"Well done to these pupils from Galashiels Academy who won a road safety competition in conjunction with Transport Scotland and other key partners, as part of the new Drivewise initiative. Drivewise is a programme that promotes safe driving to under 17s and allows them to take part in supervised practical driving (off-road). The aim is to promote road safety & develop practical skills that will help when they turn 17 and begin to learn how to drive through the normal process.
